From Pac-Man to Pokémon Go, video games are a great unifier since nearly everyone has had a love affair with one at some stage in their lives. Game On 2.0 is the first international exhibition that explores the history, culture and future of video games, and it’s making its China debut in Chengdu this summer. Created by the renowned Barbican Centre in London, this first-of-its kind expo leads you through five fun-filled decades of video-gaming and its impact on popular culture. Featuring more than 150 games, there’s something for everyone to geek out on, ranging from Rock Band and Sonic the Hedgehog to Tomb Raider.
The latest edition, Game On 2.0, expands on the original exhibition, offering more information on early gaming culture as well as a section devoted entirely to new and exciting gaming technologies like virtual reality. 3D and though-interface technology.
