Creative energy spills across the city as Chiang Mai Design Week returns for its 12th edition. Under the theme “Local Thunders, Global Transformation”, designers, artisans, artists and communities explore how northern Thai wisdom is finding fresh expression through contemporary design. Exhibitions, installations, workshops and events unfold across neighbourhoods from Chang Moi-Tha Phae to Wat Ket-San Pa Khoi, Wua Lai, Hang Dong and the old city. Crafts, food, music, materials and traditional wisdom all enter the conversation, turning Chiang Mai into a showcase for ideas shaped in the North and beyond.
