The Blue Chair Film Festival returns to Luang Prabang this December with a roster of 32 films by the most talented auteurs across Southeast Asia. Founded in 2009, the annual event serves as a hive of cross-cultural creativity, uniting international filmmakers and cinema fans in the gorgeous backdrop of the UNESCO World Heritage town.

Spilling off the screen, this year’s programme also features interactive workshops, skilldevelopment sessions and a special masterclass for emerging Lao filmmakers. However, the main focus will be on fresh cinematic visions of Laos, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia, Brunei, Malaysia, Vietnam and Australia.
