“In Search of Chinese Art of Scent” invites you on an olfactory journey through time. This captivating exhibition, part of the “Chinese Culture Festival 2024”, explores the profound relationship with fragrance and the aesthetics of life and art in ancient China.

Discover a treasure trove of precious artefacts, including ceramics, bamboo carvings, paintings and bronze objects carefully selected from the Hong Kong Museum of Art and the Shanghai Museum. Witness the evolution of fragrance appreciation from the Neolithic era to the 20th century and gain a deeper understanding of how scent has influenced Chinese culture.
