Bangkok’s art scene takes centre stage with the 26th Bangkok International Festival of Dance and Music. Running from September 7 to October 20 at the Thailand Cultural Centre, the festival brings a dazzling line-up of world-class ballet, orchestra and innovative performances. Highlights include the Bolshoi Ballet’s “Swan Lake” accompanied by the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, the magical “The Nutcracker” by Tokyo City Ballet and the passionate “Carmen Suite” by the Novosibirsk Ballet. For a captivating blend of wit, history and tragedy, don’t miss “Marie Antoinette” by the Malandain Ballet Biarritz and the Royal Opera House of Versailles. Beyond classical performances, the fest also showcases contemporary dance and orchestral masterpieces such as “La Bohème” and “Turandot” by the China National Opera House. With 18 spectacular performances, this annual event offers a rich tapestry of artistic expression, making Bangkok an essential destination for culture enthusiasts.
