Wetland Wonders
Maldives
The natural wonders of the Maldives extend far beyond its pristine beaches and turquoise waters. Addu Nature Park, located on the southernmost atoll, is a protected paradise brimming with biodiversity.
This nature park is renowned not only for marine life but also for its unique terrestrial ecosystem. Hidden on Hithadhoo Island is one of the Maldives’ largest wetlands, Eydhigali Kilhi, along with its Unesco- enshrined neighbour, Koattey nature reserve. Stroll through lush vegetation and mangroves teeming with native bird species. For a more adventurous experience, canoe the Bedhi Bay for close encounters with juvenile stingrays and sharks.
