A Reflection on Consumerism
Bangkok | Now – 26 Jan 2025

Thaiwijit Puengkasemsomboon, an acclaimed Thai artist known for his dynamic sculptures and bold abstract forms, returns with “Untamed Melody” Part 2 at MOCA Bangkok. With a passion for exploring societal issues, Thaiwijit delves into the environmental impact of consumerism in his latest artwork. His installations and sculptures spotlight the consequences of overconsumption, using recycled and waste materials to depict the tangible toll of modern habits.

Through large-scale, immersive creations, the exhibition challenges visitors to confront the waste generated by excessive consumption and invites reflection on sustainable choices. Thaiwijit’s distinctive style, combining raw textures with vibrant colours, captures both the beauty and chaos of consumer-driven waste, urging audiences to reconsider their own impact on the planet.

The exhibition is open Tuesday-Sunday, 10am-6pm (closed Mondays). Follow updates at www.facebook.com/mocabangkok.
