Renowned storyteller and cultural guardian Tiao Somsanith Nithakhong – known simply as Nith – spent his early years between Luang Prabang and Vientiane, immersed in classical Lao art, music, and dance. After decades in exile in France, he returned to Laos in 2002 with a clear mission: to preserve and share his country’s fading artistic traditions.

From temple stencil work and floral offerings to gold and silver thread embroidery – an art he calls “pure meditation” – Nith is devoted to keeping Lao heritage alive. Now, through an exclusive experience with a luxury hospitality brand, guests can step into his world of conversation, craftsmanship, and cultural exchange. On Sundays, his garden becomes a living classroom where young students practise music and dance under his gentle guidance.
