Sukhothai Airport Clinches EIA Monitoring Awards 2025 for Environmental Excellence
Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited, the owner and operator of Sukhothai Airport, has once again been recognised for its environmental stewardship, receiving an “Excellent” ranking at the EIA Symposium and Monitoring Awards 2025 on September 17. The honour reflects the airport’s adoption of eco-friendly practices and underscores Bangkok Airways’ commitment to sustainability.
The award was presented to Ms Tresarun Sitakalin, Vice President – Company Secretary and Vice President (Acting) – Airport, by Mrs Chayanan Pakdeejit, Permanent Secretary of the Natural Resources and Environment Ministry, at a ceremony hosted at the Amari Watergate Bangkok.
Sukhothai Airport is no stranger to environmental accolades. Over the years, it has consistently been recognised by the EIA Monitoring Awards, achieving an “Outstanding” ranking in 1999, 2000, 2002, 2005, 2006, and 2007; and “Excellent” in 2008, 2009, 2011, 2023, and 2025.
The EIA Symposium and Monitoring Awards 2025, organised annually by the Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONEP), were held under the theme “EIA Next Step” The Next Sustainable Growth”. The initiative aims to encourage compliance with environmental impact mitigation measures, foster effective monitoring and evaluation, and strengthen environmental management mechanisms nationwide. It also serves to honour organisations that consistently demonstrate outstanding performance in environmental governance and strict adherence to Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) requirements.

ในโอกาสนี้ นางสาวตรีศรันย์ สีตกะลิน รองกรรมการผู้อำนวยการใหญ่ เลขานุการบริษัทและรักษาการรองผู้อำนวยการใหญ่ฝ่ายสนามบิน บริษัท การบินกรุงเทพฯ เป็นผู้แทนเข้ารับรางวัลจาก นางชญานันท์ ภักดีจิตต์ ปลัดกระทรวงทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม ซึ่งให้เกียรติเป็นประธานในพิธี ณ ห้องบอลรูม โรงแรมอมารี วอเตอร์เกท กรุงเทพฯ เมื่อเร็วๆ นี้
ทั้งนี้ สนามบินสุโขทัยได้รับรางวัล EIA Monitoring Awards มาอย่างต่อเนื่อง ได้แก่ ระดับดีเด่นในปี พ.ศ. 2543, 2543, 2545, 2548, 2549, 2550 และระดับยอดเยี่ยมในปี พ.ศ. 2551, 2552, 2554, 2566 รวมถึงล่าสุดในปี พ.ศ.2568 นี้ด้วย
งาน “EIA Symposium and Monitoring Awards 2025” จัดโดยสำนักงานนโยบายและแผนทรัพยากรธรรมชาติและสิ่งแวดล้อม (สผ.) ภายใต้แนวคิด “EIA Next Step: The Next Sustainable Growth ก้าวต่อไปของ EIA สู่ความยั่งยืน” โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมและให้ความสำคัญกับการปฏิบัติตามมาตรการป้องกันและแก้ไขผลกระทบสิ่งแวดล้อม รวมถึงการติดตามตรวจสอบผลกระทบ ตลอดจนพัฒนากลไกการจัดการสิ่งแวดล้อมให้มีประสิทธิภาพเพื่อเป็นแบบอย่างที่ดีแก่สถานประกอบการอื่นๆ และเป็นการประกาศเกียรติคุณแก่สถานประกอบการที่มีความโดดเด่นในการดำเนินงานด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมและปฏิบัติตามมาตรการที่กำหนดไว้ในรายงานการประเมินผลกระทบสิ่งแวดล้อมอย่างเคร่งครัด
