True to its name – namu is the Korean word for wood – NAMU’s atmosphere leans into organic warmth and ritual without formality.

Fah Thai’s visit began with the welcoming beat of a Wadaiko drum, before unfolding in a feast of beautifully plated creations. Elements of Japanese precision and playful Asian influences blossomed in each course, as delicate seafood creations vied with bold flavour combinations. Meticulously matched tipples were capped by a matcha tea ceremony, adding a serene yet theatrical touch to the evening.

Elegant but never stiff, polished yet warm, NAMU strikes a rare balance between serious culinary craftsmanship and relaxed beachfront dining.
