Silk, Spice and Stories
Singapore
The tapestry of Peranakan stories and culture has finally found a permanent home in Singapore. A regional first, the Peranakan Club (TPC) a 5,000-square-foot “living museum” where Straits Chinese gastronomy meets curated history.
The brainchild of renowned chef, social entrepreneur and cultural curator Baba Raymond Khoo, TPC is an immersive journey guided by the six pillars of Peranakan history and culture.
Visitors can sip craft spirits at the Kebaya Bar (a collaboration with Brass Lion Distillery), indulge in high tea at the Kerosang Tea Room, and grab a snack at The Little Nonya or a celebratory feast at Grand Peranakan. Between bites, wander through The Peranakan Gallery and browse Khoo’s personal collection of heirlooms or pick up an artisanal keepsake at Baba Nyonya Artelier. No mere static showcase, TPC is a multi-sensory tribute to a centuries-old culture that remains vibrant as ever.
