Bangkok Airways Seeds Sustainability with Coconut Saplings for Koh Samui

Bangkok Airways Public Company Limited, led by President Mr Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth (6th from left), and Mrs. Ariya Prasarttong-Osoth, Board Director and Chair of the CSR Working Committee (5th from left), along with executives and Blue Volunteers, participated in the “Planting Coconut Trees for Koh Samui” activity under the campaign “Love Earth, Save Earth: Love Samui, Save the Coconut Tree”. The event took place on Koh Samui in Surat Thani province recently.

Now in its eighth year, the project underscores Bangkok Airways’ continued commitment to sustainability and environmental conservation. As part of the airline’s “Low Carbon Skies by Bangkok Airways” initiative, the programme aims to minimise the environmental footprint of aviation while helping to restore green spaces and strengthen local ecosystems.

By planting coconut trees – a timeless symbol of Koh Samui – the initiative also supports eco-tourism, sustains community livelihoods and promotes environmental awareness among future generations.

บริษัท การบินกรุงเทพ จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือสายการบินบางกอกแอร์เวย์ส นำโดยนายพุฒิพงศ์ ปราสาททองโอสถ (ที่ 6 จากซ้าย)​ กรรมการผู้อำนวยการใหญ่ นางอาริญา ปราสาททองโอสถ (ที่ 5 จากซ้าย) กรรมการบริษัทฯ และประธานคณะทำงานความยั่งยืนองค์กร พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้บริหารและทีมจิตอาสา Blue Volunteers ลงพื้นที่ทำกิจกรรม “ปลูกมะพร้าวเพื่อเกาะสมุย”​ ภายใต้โครงการ “Love Earth, Save Earth: Love Samui, Save the Coconut Tree” ซึ่งจัดต่อเนื่องเข้าสู่ปีที่ 8 ตอกย้ำพันธกิจด้านความยั่งยืนและการดูแลสิ่งแวดล้อมเมื่อเร็วๆ นี้ ณ เกาะสมุย จ.สุราษฎร์ธานี

กิจกรรมดังกล่าวเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของแคมเปญ “Low Carbon Skies by Bangkok Airways” เดินหน้าสู่อนาคตท้องฟ้าโลว์คาร์บอนที่มุ่งลดผลกระทบด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมจากการดำเนินธุรกิจ ทั้งยังมีเป้าหมายเพื่ออนุรักษ์ระบบนิเวศฟื้นฟูพื้นที่สีเขียว สร้างความอุดมสมบูรณ์ให้กับเกาะสมุย รวมถึงสร้างห่วงโซ่คุณค่าด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมและสังคม (Sustainable Value Chain) ผ่านการปลูกมะพร้าวซึ่งเป็นสัญลักษณ์สำคัญของเกาะสมุย พร้อมส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวและวิถีชีวิตของชุมชนให้คงอยู่อย่างยั่งยืนแก่คนรุ่นหลังต่อไป
