Koh Samui has been crowned the World’s Best Island 2026 by Travel + Leisure, outshining iconic destinations like Bali and the Maldives. The latest accolade recognises Samui’s unique charm – a harmonious mix of idyllic beaches, lush landscapes, vibrant heritage and warm island hospitality.
Adding to the celebration, the Bangkok Airways-operated Samui Airport took 2nd place for Best Airport at the Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2026, while Bangkok Airways itself was named among the region’s elite, placing 9th in the Best Airlines category.
