Renowned for its diverse directions and culinary delights, Bangkok also faces tough challenges beneath its tourist-friendly façade. Bangkok Design Week 2024 (BKKDW 2024) unleashes the city’s creative side in a quest to find cures for chronic ailments like traffic jams, air pollution, limited public spaces, and the impacts of climate change.

The capital’s main hives of creativity – Charoen Krung-Talad Noi, Samyan-Siam, Ari-Pradipat, Phra Nakhon and Phrom Phong – buzz with designs and solutions aimed at forging a more liveable city in three dimensions. Hard Matters covers health and accessibility, Heart Matters promotes mental well-being celebrates culture, and Design Matters focuses on public spaces and strengthening communities for a creative economy.

Themed “Liveable Space: The More People Act, the Better the City”, the event provides a snapshot of Bangkok’s many possible futures.
