Living Land Lao, Luang Prabang
Take Root in Laos
Luang Prabang

The Living Land Farm, an organic farm and community enterprise run by locals, has taken root just outside Luang Prabang on the road to Kuangsi Waterfall. Here, the community grows organic vegetables, salad greens, herbs and rice that grace the tables of leading restaurants and hotels in the city.

But as well as being a community farm, the Living Land Farm offers tourists a unique glimpse into traditional Lao life. Visitors can get firsthand experience in planting rice and other farming activities like bamboo weaving, sugarcane pressing and blacksmithing.

Spend a day exploring the community or enjoying a meal at the on-site restaurant. Those wishing to stay for longer can opt for a homestay experience in a traditional Lao house on the farm. The farm tour costs US$36 per person.
