Located between Kata and Karon beaches, the Phad Thai shop has been serving up wokfuls of its namesake for as long as anyone can remember. The hole-in-the-wall noodle joint became a local icon years ago after drawing praise from the Lonely Planet travel guide.

As the name suggests, it specialises in Phad Thai, but with recipes that have foodies flocking from all over the world for a taste. Other dishes that merit attention here include the rich and hearty beef noodle soup.
